We are excited to offer work/learn days on the homestead. Please check out the ‘classes’ page for more info.
warm and sunny Spring greetings,
i’m just so excited that i had to write. the boys and i went on a lovely walk on this amazing warm and sunny early spring day. we happily munched on all sorts of green goodies including garlic mustard, bedstraw, ground ivy, wild onion and dandelion. so amazing to see and taste all the green that is just waiting under the snow. we also had some sticky fun with cottonwood buds. for me, for some reason, the most exciting thing was getting my first nettle sting of the year. what a glorious feeling!
hope you all are enjoying this day! and i promise to write soon about last month’s study group.

Although, I am super excited to play with Garlic with all of you, I have decided to cancel tomorrow’s study group due to the weather. It seems that the snow and ice in tomorrow’s forecast would not be the best weather for driving and I want everyone to be safe and warm! Please continue to eat, think about and enjoy Garlic and we will get to study it as a group in March (3/2/11).
Snowy Blessings,
Amanda

The Herbal Study Group page has been updated to hopefully answer interested folks questions, announce a change in location, and give a recap of our January meeting.

Well, these past few very, very cold days have finally given me the opportunity to create my very own blog! I’m unlikely to post very often, but I will be using this as a way to keep folks updated on the various workings of Rootwork Herbals.
There is a page for information about our upcoming monthly mutual aid/pay what you can Community Apothecary.
A page for information on upcoming Classes, where i will also post handouts.
A page for Community Supported Herbalism members to learn about CSH happenings and where all share information will be posted.
And a page for the monthly Herbal Study Group with general information and a recap of each month’s meeting can be found along with copies of recipes and monographs.
I will basically be using this home page as a way to direct folks to new stuff added to these various pages.
Take care and stay warm,
amanda
